About 52green

52green, found online at 52green.org, is a site with a purpose. We will be identifying 52 products that are chosen for their "green value". In other words, we will be highlighting products that are sustainable, reusable, recyclable, or in some way environmentally responsible and eco-friendly. We will continue to add carefully selected products until we have reached our grand total of 52.

Please help us with our mission. On Earth Day 2009 (Wednesday, April 22, 2009) we will be launching our weekly posts to identify the top 52 green products (hence the name, 52green.org) that we have chosen to feature on this site. These products will come from recommendations from our readers, in addition to businesses who identify unique products to us and those products that we have hand-selected through personal experience. We will be making 2009 the year where we want everyone to realize that Earth Day is not a one-day event, but it is the kick-off for 52 weeks of environmentally responsible thinking.

How can you help in the meantime? Leading up to Earth Day 2009, we need to hear from you on this site, to identify green products you have tried and recommend, or products your company makes which you would like featured. If you want to be a sponsor for this site, or to contribute, we would like to hear from you as well. Please leave a comment below, or email us at info AT sustainable thinking DOT org.

Other resources. If you would like to learn more about sustainability and environmental responsibility, visit SustainRenew.org or SustainableThinking.org. Or, visit our sister site Green52.org, for 52 weekly tips for green living.

Suggestions, ideas and tips. If you have a product you would like to recommend that we consider or include on this site, please suggest it below as a comment, or email us. Please tell others to visit our site, and to contribute their ideas. We still have nearly a year before Earth Day 2009, so let's make this time count. To find green living ideas (rather than specific products), we suggest you visit Green52.org, which is already posting weekly green tips.
